  • A captivating world

Stunning beauty, ageless traditions, and human connections—these are what the International Calendar celebrates. Peace Corps Volunteers have unique opportunities to experience these things first-hand, as they explore diverse cultures and form friendships in faraway places. But as many volunteers discover, widespread poverty, injustice, and scarce resources sometimes exist side-by-side with captivating beauty. Still, volunteers dedicate themselves to alleviating hardship and making the world a better place.

I love this calendar and purchase every year.

    2. Great Educational Tool 5 Star Review

Posted by on Jan 14th 2016

I bought this for my daughter's best friend. A special 10 year old boy who is fascinated by different cultures and is a geography nut. He just came in 3rd in the Geo Bee! He LOVED it. He has spend hours reading it and looking up stuff to get more information. Great tool to open the world up to older kids.

    3. A year full of pretty pictures, interesting facts, and memories to last a lifetime. 5 Star Review

Posted by on Jan 13th 2016

The RPCV calendar has beautiful pictures from aspects of PCV's service. A lot of the photos are local people doing everyday tasks. They are technically beautiful shots. The calendar also lists interesting facts about the country and gives a reading list of materials from/about that country. Many of the listed books are by PCVs about their PC experience. But most of all, looking at the pictures and information reminds me of the wonderful time I had as a PCV many, many years ago. I think it has been about 3 lifetimes ago!

    4. Something I look forward to year after year 5 Star Review

Posted by on Jan 13th 2016

I love to buy this for myself and gift it to others. It is important to continue to support PCVs. It helps us stay connected to the cause. I am always excited to see if Thailand made the calendar. It is like a stroll down memory lane and all of the dates and holidays and events listed are fun. It brings a smile to my face every day.

The pictures are amazing. The text and data about the country are fascinating. The listing of worldwide holidays is very interesting - my 16 year old loves this information.

I wish the photos were from the country and years where the RPCV credited with the photo actually served.
